A Space Rooted in Healing
Grounded Flow Massage & Wellness is located inside downtown Knoxville’s historic Althea Building, built in 1912. The name Althea comes from the Greek word meaning “healer” or “to heal,” making it feel like the perfect home for a practice created to support rest, restoration, and a deeper connection with the body.
As a licensed massage therapist, I created Grounded Flow to offer something more personal than a traditional massage experience. Every session takes place in a peaceful, private studio and is thoughtfully customized around your body, comfort level, and wellness goals. I do not believe massage should feel rushed, routine, or the same for every person.
Depending on what your body needs that day, your session may incorporate Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, myofascial and trigger point work, stretching, mobility work, guided breathwork, energy healing, sound therapy, and foot-focused techniques. These approaches allow me to care for more than one area of tension while helping your entire system slow down and reset.
What sets Grounded Flow apart is the intention behind every detail—from the time we take to discuss how you are feeling to the calming environment and individualized care you receive on the table. This is not an assembly-line massage or a one-size-fits-all routine. It is an unhurried experience designed to help you feel safe, heard, grounded, and genuinely cared for.
The Althea Building represents healing, and Grounded Flow carries that meaning forward by creating a space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling more at home in your body.
